SIII 109 Safari, to buy or not to buy!

Evening!

I have been offered a 1979 series 3 109 safari. It is a carmichael fire engine conversion. Fully operational, engine is perfect, serviced every year, new carb last year. MOT'd until may, one advisory on last MOT for a small patch of welding. Body work fine.

The vendor is asking £3500, I'm no landrover expert, so need some advice!

Fire away, all advise welcome...

Sounds good but I would still have a look at the chassis and the bulkhead. For that price they should be in good condition......

Thanks, I haven't got a picture at the moment. I thought someone would ask for one! I know of one of it a few years ago, but obviously that doesn't show todays condition! I have been trying to find similiar ones for sale, for a price comparison, but finding it hard to find any!

As long as the rust hasn't eaten the steal away , it could be a nice 109 . Make sure you do not have to pay thousands
