Ere that does sound rather meaty. Sounds like a V8 i think. :)

I like my TD5 whistle on tick over and the growl when the power is on but anything further than half an hour and its annoying and yeah the neighbours are getting ****ed!

Its a 200TDi but there is a kinda V8 sound about it, short pipe, upped boost and tuned fuel pump, its a bit too loud for a daily but its not a daily so I like it :D The TD5's sound V.nice though, I do like the whistle you get from them...

Its does sound nice and im going to have it in front of the wheel arch.
My mate has a pipe bender which i can borrow and i might go and get a length of pipe and bend it so its a complete length and weld it on after the joint so it can be removed.

How hard do you recon it will be or will it have to be done in separate pieces

How har

i made my rear section in 1 piece and welded a flange thinggy on it so its a bolt in section now...

On my 200tdi i made a side exit infront of the back wheel all out of the original pipe took a bit of thinking and experimenting but it is possible just regret not being a bit more patiant and going for stainless about an inch bigger in the bore but was funy when i filled a chavy in his saxo full of smoke in mcdonalds car park without realising ...

Haha. Serves his right being so low down.
If i run a 60mm bore will it effect anything being run of a 52 mm pipe.

All difrent sizes types of steal amoount of bends etc make a diffrence in the sound and if it was on a f1 car it would make a diffrence to performance but the 200 tdi is more of a tractor engine so any power diffrence wont be noticable ...

The funny thing is the 1.2 saxo i filled with smoke must have had a 5" exsaust .

Dont change the bore unless you have done the maths, increasing bore size decreases gas velocity and allows the gasses to cool resulting in expansion and adding pressure to the exhaust system upsetting the pulse flow and decreasing power.... unless you know how to tune the exhaust leave it as is...

Shortening the exhaust however is good, the shorter the better....

Goto get a piece of aluminium and cut it and rivet it around the exit hole to make it look a bit better.

In the future might take the exhaust to someone my mate nows thats has a cnc bender and get him to make a copy with no joins in.

There is a reason they exit from where they do. LR spent ALOT on RRC moving the exhaust exit to various places.
