hi jacobscreek.its been closed for a while to redo the track.i also like greenlaning.iv never been to buildwas so ill give it a go.next time you go greenlaning can i tag along.

Buildwas probably worse off road site ever. If its wet unless you got special tracks you just get stuck and you will spend a week getting clay out of everything thats set like concrete . Go to the woods spend all day being winched out and after an hour or 2 the rest of the place you will be bored

Just my 2 pence worth. Theres a guy trying to get Brosley up and running very soon.

Hello, I live in Shropshire and am slowly getting into green landing. I've completed a few that I found using hard work and the tips from the stickies at the top of this board. The lanes where NE of Ludlow and near the road running from Craven Arms to Much Wenlock. Had a great time but unfortunately I was limited by being on my own.

Got some free time next week and I was wondering I could tag along with some of you guys on your next trips or if we could set up a trip.

I did do an introduction post last summer but haven't used the forum since. I've got a td5 110 with a hydraulic winch and MT tyres I also have a reasonable amount of off road driving experience due to my job.

Regards

Tom

Well done that man :D you managed to do something a lot of people cant or are too lazy to figure out for themselves.

Do you use paper maps or electronic mapping ? If you go to Ordnance Survey Leisure getamap, ideal for route planning including walking routes, running routes and cycling routes its free ordnance survey website thats shows you OS , Road as well as Arial views all for free. You can register for free or just click visit as guest.

You can input a grid ref SH 123 456 for example and it will show you where it is on the map.

I use both, but now mainly an app on my iPhone called "great Britain outdoors". It has the same functionality as Apple maps and google maps but displays OS maps great for naving on the move in a vehicle.

I usually just fire off a quick email to the council to get them to confirm the status of the routes. Do you guys know why the routes in Clee St Margret have been closed?

Also have you come across routes that are marked as Tarmac but turn out to be just dirt tracks? (I'm 100% sure on my nav on this one, it's near Buildwas)

Hi guys I don't have a freelander yet but if your goin round some lanes near Shrewsbury and got a seat free I will join you lol!

Going out Thurs 15th May around Kington and Presteigne area. A couple of spaces left. No roof racks and MT's would be an advantage. Cars will sustain bush rash and poss slight damage if you aint careful. Not for the shinies eh Stu?
