Just the chassis? Did it not take the bodywork and gearbox with it then?

I think you will find that what slob is getting at is that the engine may be rebuilt but the rest of it isn't. You are still gonna have however many thousand miles on the gearbox, transfer box, diffs, etc etc.

the 2.25 diesel isnt hard to get hold of i bouht a series 3 109 fer 200 quid witha rebuilt one in it .

and the 300tdi has been a hard werker . it used to tow 4 tons up a hill once a week ( mini digger ) and deliver hay n straw most days. its just that the oil pressure light goes on it when i start it up but then back off after a couple of seconds . it didnt use to . but shuld i just let it be ? im haven the clutch n brakes bled and serviced . and ive serviced the drive train ( gear box etc )

and the series 2.25 diesel is a beast ! but you use the 4th gear like an overdrive . its very reliable and easy to work on and is known as the 10j i think . if its good id buy it . it does 50 on the straight witha good run up .
