Reasonable is good enough for me :) do you use a 1.4 or 1.8 version of that gun? I think I'll do a bit of research into painting this week and try to get my head around it. I do like the RS blue.
I'll start a rebuil thread at the weekend too or one night this week if I find some free time :)

The way I look at it is, if it's perfect you'll be scared to use it. Or I know I would, I don't like the thought of it even when I've done it myself. Never mind if you're paying 6/7 times more for someone else to do it.

I use the 1.4 version bud. It seems a decent gun. I bought a cheapo one (about £18) of ebay originally, but couldn't get on with it.
The difference was amazing and was impressed with the results with it as soon as I used it.
Give me a shout if you're struggling for the info you want and I'm happy to try and help.
p.s look forward to the build thread :)

I quite like it in red :) I'd leave the county stripes as well, personally- the later defender ones were fairly tasteful and help to break up the great slab of colour.

Ah... Found some more pics on one of 3 pb accounts
Like I said, was the first one I painted, not perfect, but was extremely happy with it.
Just wish I used 2k instead of celly, but was unsure at the time. Wouldn't go back now though.

That also went to Leeds when it was sold so you may see it about.

I have got a cheepo gun that I found in my garage, I won't be using it though. I'll pop the one you recommended on my eBay watch list and I'll purchase one when the time comes. I really do like the RS blue and black combo.

I need to start a build thread.
I dropped my axles off at the shot blasters on Wednesday and I won't have them back for two weeks so Im going to order new swivels and seals etc for them and I might start striping and cleaning the engine in the meantime. Got loads of scrap metal to get rid of too

Cheapo guns are good for primmer. I wont put it through my decent one.
So use a cheapo with 1.8mm tip now.
If I used the colour again I think I'd colour code the bonnet too.

That's a great idea, thinking about it I might get one sooner actually so I can colour code some of the smaller bits like the backplates

Yes I would too. Will also give you some practice before you start on the panels.

I found out that one of my dads friends owns a bodyshop, so i asked him if I can go spend a few days with him in the summer when I'm off work and he's going to give me a bit of a crash course in spraying.
So hopefully I'll learn how to do it properly and get a better finish when the time comes to do mine.

Ideal solution. Should stand you in good stead.
I'd jump at a chance like that. Gotta be better than teaching yourself.

Here is mine complete apart from I am changing the lights on the light bar to the same as the led ones that are on the front bumper but you can do it just take your time.
