Hi,

Just wanted some advice, I have a very original 1983 110 CSW 2.25 petrol, green and cream. Very solid underneath and has original seats, no tears and sliding windows. I'm having issues with the general lack of power ( surprise surprise!) when loaded up, it struggles getting up a kerb. The idea is to drop a refurbished 4.6 v8 on eldelbrook carbs and a Mallory dizzy, put proper seats in the middle row ( fold down ones have issues with toddler seats) and Lpg it.

My question is, should I keep it original, will I regret it years down the line? There's only 8 on the road in the uk at the moment.

Any views on this?

Thanks guys

Welcome aboard :)

I'd do the engine swap if you want to - it's your vehicle - AND I'd keep all the bits to put it back to original in case you ever needed to sell it.... you could ever sell it as a V8 with all the bits to put it back...;)

That was what I was thinking. Just a bit unsure as it's quite a rare model, most have been converted, won't ever sell it so value irrelevant. More the historical worth.
