Should I complain about an MOT station

Hmm...im not convinced. Maybe its time dependant.

The place I work had a Shogun in about 2 months ago. It must show up somwhere as the list of previous fails was there because they all failed again!! Then some more were added. The owner went mental when he returned, call us a bunch of crooks and said he only wanted an mot for off road!!!
The week later guess what....it showed up at the local council test station....almost next door to us, where they also had the last test results...so it failed on the same list again.

Turns out it had 4 MOTs altogether then the owner sold it for spares. ( the new owner fixed it and it runs around now...with for sale sign in it)

What the dick should have done is spent the £150 he wasted on 3 extra mots on fixing what was in the first fail he had.

One example...it failed on not having a split pin in a track rod end nut on the first, second (us) and third test (council).

You can contest a result but you need to pay for the first test, book a second one via the direct.gov website - which they will charge you for and if they find the original test to be unfair they will refund your fee's if I understand correctly

I did some research after I took my mk3 mondeo to a halfords auto cetre and they failed it with 700quids worth of things, like both front wishbones needed replacing for split ball joint rubbers and indicator bulbs too bright and foot brake rubber slightly worn , In the end I took it to kwik fit after replacing the ball joints and foot pedal rubber and it passed lol

1. May aswell do the work needed as it sounds like it's going to need it sooner rather than later

2. It ain't worth challenging the mot place as it'll cost you more to than it's worth
