he missed my editing of the disco description
is that a qualified engineers opinion?
seen that bit as i dont have a disco cant comment know my mates had his boot done though, seriously though how the feck do you get your freelanders to go offroad? wheels and ground clearance looks to small
Yours is the ultimate oft roader as it's been oft road for such a long time the dvla think it's been written oft.that doesn't look very off road
Good question. Freelander's are surprisingly capable oft road despite the bad rep we get. Ground clearance can be a bit of a problem sometimes so you have to choose your route carefully. Those with traction control fitted are betterer oft road as they can abs pulse brake spinning wheels. Hence the odd wheel in the air isn't too much of a problem. Power can then be fed into the wheels with grip. So that sort of makes up for having less wheel articulation. Freelander's are lighter too so that helps. The main problem we have is deep ruts. If your lucky you can pick your own route and avoid them or straddle them. Always cross them diagonal with only 1 wheel in the rut at a time is another trick. not having a low box can be a problem as you can't increase the revs without keeping the speed down. Slipping a manual clutch will soon overheat it. Having an auto sort of cures this problem.seen that bit as i dont have a disco cant comment know my mates had his boot done though, seriously though how the feck do you get your freelanders to go offroad? wheels and ground clearance looks to small
