How to retrieve
Would you know how to retrieve service historyHello
They carry out the missed servicing now, in order to be able to claim full service history as the vehicle is then up to date on servicing. Its not ideal as items like auto gearbox oil changes not being done when they should, would potentially cause damage to the box. There's always the risk they've lied anorl.I sold my Defender when it was ten years old with only the first 3 service stamps.
When I saw it advertised for sale at a dealer it had a full service history
Not sure how that happened?
you're probably quite right! but how can you invent servicing?? you can't 'give it a good once over' then fill a book full of stamps! plus the dealer wont change gearbox oil as they are sealed for lifeThey carry out the missed servicing now, in order to be able to claim full service history as the vehicle is then up to date on servicing. The theory is they have at least brought it up to current standard as they have changed all the service bits, be it a bit late in it's life. In theory the new owner won't need to change them.you're probably quite right! but how can you invent servicing?? you can't 'give it a good once over' then fill a book full of stamps! plus the dealer wont change gearbox oil as they are sealed for life
Yes but no cheating. Yer need to change the engine oil 5 times anorl. My car was 25k overdue according to the dash, if I service it 5 times in one go does that mean it's up to date

Worked for arthur daily.I was gonna put the mileage back by 30K then change the oil and stamp the book, then put it forward 5k change the oil and stamp the book, repeat where necessary
That's 19 more than me, didn't even get a book!19 service stamps on mine. The guy must have worked there long time as throughout the 19 years he still used the same pen
