Dear all,
My 2012 Freelander II TD4 SE being out of warranty, I took it to a local garage for its latest service. They do a lot of LR and most of them are older models. They have a "universal computer" to connect to the maintenance port and they have the latest version from LR (from summer 2015).
After they completed the service, they reset the service indicator and it didn't work completely. They told me it took 4-5 times before they could do a proper reset and even after that, the car shows the "service clock" with a negative number next to it. The first day it showed -1, the next day -2 and so on.
This service clock appears when we turn on the ignition and stays for a few seconds. It then diappears and shows the normal car mileage.
How would it possible to properly reset the service counter? Is there a hack of some sort or do I have to take the car to a LR dealer?
Does anyone have an idea why it was so hard to properly reset the service indicator and why I end up with a "half reset"?
Thank you,
