Afternoon all, I have a 86 200tdi 110 and i have developed a serious vibration through my peddle when i get to about 45mph, i have a leak in my gearbox oil so imagine this is very low at the moment but could this be the cause for the new worrying vibration ?????

Grab hold of your propshaft and give it a wobble. If there is any play then the UJ's require replacing.
If not then try searching for vibration on here and see what other issues there have been.

Have you checked your UJ's, it sounds as if something is loose? if it is speed specific there is a chance it could be wheel balancing. If I recall correctly, the front wheels is represented with a vibration through the steering wheel and the rear wheels you feel a vibration in the general vehicle, not necessarily just the peddle or peddle box. Are you able to drive through it, i.e. say if you get to 65-70mph does the vibration dampen?

Spot on mate - strangely a shagged gearbox is a common cause of vibration. FFS fix the leak.
