Hi I'm new to Landrovers again after a 30 year "break" - I have a LHD 1971 LWB MOD Marshall Ambulance which I am starting to rebuild. I have just been offered a sound 1987 110 and wondered if the LHD front end stuff, steering etc is swoppable in a fairly straightforward manner? I want to end up with a fairly standard LWB LHD for use abroad and this looks an attractive option if the front end bits swop? (I've already stripped the Marshall body and sold this to an enthusiast so can either cannibalise the rest or rebuild with standard body as my original intention) Can anyone guide me? Thanks very much.

Leaf and coil springs do not mix easily ! 110 axel about 6" wider. How much of a look have you had?

I am already beginning to doubt the wisdom of this? I appreciate the leaf and spring issue but hadn't appreciated the axle differences you suggest. In terms of looking at the two vehicles side by side I have not had chance to do this and am new to the variations between the different types aside from the very basics. Unless someone tells me it is straightforward
I'll stick to the rebuild of the 109. Thanks.
