Excellent keep up the good work, makes a nice change seeing a youngster actualy doing something other than playing play station ect, you've actualy achieved something there you should be proud matey :D:D well done (well done to dad aswell as im sure he's helped along the way;))

I like it! Very well done to you and your dad :)

Oh what i would give to live on a farm... All that space... No Parents moaning about me cluttering the garden up! :D

Gumption, one of the rarest substances known to man. Rarer, even, than unobtanium. Good on yer!

Nice one, I have to say. Much better that something gets put to use rather than being scrapped or broken for spares. By the look of it, it will give you a lof of fun.

Extra points for doing this, being 13, and doing this instead of sitting infront of a playstation. I hope to get my boys in this mindset :)

thanks for all the compliments :) yes dad has helped me a lot with most of the welding and saying like why do it like that when it would be better if you did it like this..etc im absolutley over the moon with it, not only is it more capable than it used to be but im not worried its going to snap in half all the time :D:D lol no the dogs ok... and oldskool, sorry about that comment in the abuse thread earlier, bad day etc probably shuldent have posted in there considering my mood.. no excuse realy
well embarresing thing of the day..had a play in one of the feilds today (we're all into our offroading so weve made a field into a little offroad site :)) before i pressure washed it... took it down to the main farm pressur washed it, checked the levels etc too it back up "top" to park up, on the way i thought ill have a little play anyway i forgot it was in 2wd  what a plonker lol trust me landys are rubbish offroad in 2wd ;)

Wow, extremely impressed - even if your dad did help you along the way, you seem to really know your stuff!

What better a way to start yourself off in life, I can't think of one -- good on ya mate! :D

thanks :) anyhow got my series diffs in today so i might be more succsesfull at crawling along due to the lower ratio diffs tommoros job...fix the hand brake, its quite usefull when you want to park up on a hill for a bit  anfortunatly its dissintergrated (understandable realy (the g-box has been in storage for nigh on 20 years  ) if anyone knows of a half decent series g-box at reasonable money i might be interested as this ones on its way out, i dowt if it will do more than 3 events :( oh well oh and and any short halfshafts for a rrc 10 spline will be usefull one cv's allready knocking quite bad (it was dead before i started using those axles) so i imagine that will go soon :( its a never ending battle but its worth it for the 4 hours fun a month i get :D:D:D and more rewarding than any ps2 games you'l ever get :D
sorry for any spelling mistakes

edit 50 mins of fun :rolleyes:broke it in the first hour last weekend :( broke the back diff, had to be the 1 event i didnt take spares :( ah well
well ive got another diff to go in and ive got another g-box to go in as the current 1 is very tired.

did i read you fitted a salisbury or just bought one?
impressed if you broke that diff.....

yep ive got a salisbury.. i havent fitted it yet, the idea was that when this axle went i would fit the salisbury, ive only done one shaft before and that was a front so i thought it would be a good while till i broke the back... anyway you can gues what im doing this weekend :D:rolleyes:

well a lots changed recently, ive rebuilt the front (pics of all this below)
out of tube and pop rivets.....looks niice :cool:
i finnished the back off, it works realy well, just need some heavy duty netting to go across the back.
the biggest change that will be coming....is a 200tdi! :D:D:cool::cool: because the 2.25 is knocking quite a bit, plus its dowwn on compresion even though i did the points condesor and timing before the last event :(

oh yeah...pics :eek::eek::D
