series engine colours ??

i have noticed that series landy engines all have different colours such as red green white and duck egg blue

i believe they left the factory painted different colours as per what the engine was used for such as one colour for agricultural and another for civvy landys and another for MOD

im just curious to know what colour engine means what in this respect

particularly if i have a duck egg blue 2.25 diesel 10j engine what does the colour mean

so what colour is your engine and what does it mean ??

Mine is duck egg blue 'cos someone has painted it but no idea why. I thought the duck egg blue engines were ex MOD reconditioned units but was advised on here that it is not the case. Dying to see the replies on here to find out though.

I thought duck egg blue were standard uns...... the duck egginess seems to change slightly depending on what paint they had in.

it is duck egg blue with black head and sump,timing cover ,till 5 bearings were block becomes red lead colour
