Series 3 wiper tube mystery?

Hi anyone,

I have a bit of a mystery. The S3 parts book shows the same part no (PRC3672) for both the wiper tube from the motor to 1st wiper box...and the same part no for the intermediate tube between the wiper boxes.
Upon some google research it seems that the correct part for the motor to 1st wiper box is definitely PRC3672....so what is the correct part for the intermediate tube?

I did find reference to PRC2471, but that is too short at 54cm (21,1/4”). My intermediate tube is approx 76cm (30”). As can be seen in photo, there is quite a difference...PRC2471 is the shorter tube in the pic.

Any thoughts are most welcome....or does anyone know of anywhere that can make tube to order (bundy tube is the correct term I believe) ?

I've got 555754 motor to 1st wiper and 555702 wiper to wiper (early) or 560966 and AAU1909 (later) but having seen the price I'd be looking to make one.

Holdens have tube also a kit with tube they may be able to supply but you would need to flare the ends.

the old one is full of small holes...it’s look ok in the pic as I stripped the rust from it

I made new ones out of brake pipe. Worked fine.

Saw this advertised on facebook today and remebered this thread may be of assistance making the flare
