I have been using the Land Rover a lot. I runs really well. Took it off road again today. Lost a mudflap at some point. Only noticed when I was editing the video.. (1:04) lol. And have one flat tyre unfortunately. But the spare was fitted quickly so no problem. I find it very stratifying that this old car goes over almost everything.

By the way, the flat tyre was caused by the tyre slipping on the rim and ripping the tyre valve. It this a common problem with tubed tyres? And can I somehow prevent this?

I have had so much grief with tubed wheels that I bought a set of new tubeless rims from hobsonlandrover.com (their website id down for maintenance at this minute, but I wouldn't let that put you off) £25 each and about £15 to ship four. They were unmarked new take-off - they supply various Gov agencies so do a lot of that. Part number is LR023152. You'd have to look very hard to know that mine isn't on original wheels.

Thanks for the tip. But new tubeless rims means I'd have to get new tyres as well. Don't want that, the ones I have are as good as new so that would be a waste of money.

Well, it not a truck cab anymore. I put on a soft top which I really like. Much less engine noise. And I'm in the process of painting it marine blue. First coat is on. Slowly getting there.

Finished painting. Turned out great for a roller paint job I think. Still have to finish the tailgate, that's a bit of a mess I'm afraid. Also must order a new canvas top, probably from Exmoor trim, sand colour. Still have to do some research about that.
