You are so lucky to have that huge workshop and all that tackle. There are so many of us who struggle in a normal garage or even out on the street.

Shouldn't be too long now 'til we get to see you driving it, off road of course.

no thats the number plate from the replacement tub, but yes we do have another series, if you can call it that anymore! another 200di

i will get some pics of the fleet if you guys want them? 4 proper land rovers, range rover and the next rebuild is a 90

not had as much time as i wanted with the landy the last few days but i hve made some progress

all the wiring is finished

finally!!

the tub is bolted down tight and ive even put the mats back in

put the doors on to check everything lines up

doors rubbed down and primed

also tightened up all the sills, seat box, floor and bulkhead bolts

got some pics of our fleet for u lot

mine a couple of weeks before the strip down

my parents have had this one for 20 years now!

the latest edition, i dont like it theres to much plastic, it is fun though being a 4 litre manual

one of the previous rebuilds

the other series (my mums run about)

the chassis grave yard (yep thats 4!!)

the next project

what do you think, 100" tray back???

thankyou! someone agrees with me!

it does just reck the whole look of a series, actually dont know why it has a defender front end, seeing as it is the same as mine under the bonnet

as far as im concerned a defender front on a series for some strange reason reminds me of michael jacksons face ( just fukkin wrong )

one of mine had a fibreglass kit on it (from back when the 110 and then 90 came out) was sold as a "make your series look nice and new" thing.

it came straight off, but i doubt itd sell, as the slam panel is only good for series, might be able to sell the bonnet though.

i havnt been able to get near the landy this week unfortunatly, will be doing some bits over the weekend though, hoping to get her out of the workshop, but we will see how its goes

anyway just had a thought, i know this is finishing touches but i would like your opinions, my grill is cracked and horrible, now i could replace it with an original one, but then what colour do i paint it? ......................but has anybody done anything a bit more exciting?, or have any ideas?, im happy to have a go at making one, just not sure on styling it, because you see all these defender stainless grills and rage rover kits all over the place, but i cant find anything for a series?

I made a grill out of steel round bar for my old one, from wing to wing, it looked really mean, definitely different.

what im gonna do with mine is repaint the original one with that really bright aluminium silver paint and pick the background of the badge in black as new but with a twist i think im gonna put a lecci fan right behind it and paint the fan blades bright yellow

i saw it done with a series 3 quite some years ago but the fan blades had been done in red and looked pretty cool back then and i havent seen it done ever since
