Evening. I’m tackling the next small project as I start to make my 1974 Series 3 SWB mine. I removed the thoroughly rusty/crusty rear door sill plate and rubber (?) underlayment. I then cleaned it up and repainted while ordering what I think are the right replacements from Rovers North… but for the life of me, I can’t figure out how to put them down (the parts catalogue diagram wasn’t detailed enough).
The rubber is the right size for the opening and presumably goes down first with the rounded edge sticking out. But there are no no holes in the rubber and the SS plate is too wide by a a few cms and the angles don’t seem to line up with the rubber. However The plates holes do seem to line up with the “indents” on the rear floor plate so I’m close but not quite in figuring this out.
Any advice on how to put this right? Thanks in advance
