I bought and fitted a Fairey overdrive from e-bay.
It whines.
Is that fixable?
(apart from removing it?)

Hi,
Have you still got the overdrives? I could pick one up when on hols. Im from Tralee.

Does anyone know how to tidy up the hole you have to make to get the overdrive gearlever in the side of the transmission tunnel? Mine had a riveted panel covering it (which was removed to fit the O/D) It could do with a rubber grommet or similar I think but I'm open to ideas!!!

light aluminium ring with 3 self tappers spaced equally covers the hole A flat rubber disc is fited over the shaft with a small hole just big enough to slide on . drill through the alum ring into rubber and tunnel to secure
