Series 3 Military Door Locks

Just a quickie!

I've got a '85 Series 3 109 Military spec, and want to replace the front door locks.

I've already bought replacement barrels and changed the rear door lock successfully, but I can't figure out how to remove the barrels from the front doors.

I've removed the lock in it's entirety from the door, but don't know where to go next.

Help please!

OK, I now realise that I have the wrong barrels for the anti-burst locks, duh!

So now I'm going to change the rear safari door to anti-burst, and order some anti-burst barrels.

Still, how do you change the original barrel? Everything seems sealed.

Hi R-RS - I have to admit to being a little 'duh' myself - as I have done exactly the same thing - purchased a set of 3 locks and keys - only to experience the same problem as you.

I am wondering if you managed to solve your problem, and if so 'how'???

I haven't found a solution yet unfortunately. Admittedly, I haven't had another go at it, but I have bought the correct barrels now.

Might have a crack at it this weekend, I'll let you know!

Thanks for replying I have removed the locks and they seem to be riveted together so I imagine they need drilling out to change the barrels could that be the case.
