Series 3 knocking while taking off

My series three started knocking violently out of the blue taking off at a light, I can get it going if I let the clutch out very gently, any amount of welly and there's a violent knocking sound. I thought it might be the gearbox until I noticed the ball joint where the rear suspension top link joins the diff has lost its **** (see attached). Would this cause such a problem or does the gear box have to go as well? Also, is there a kit I can get to sort out the ball joint?

I wouldn't be surprised if it was a 110 chassis, it also has a Nissan sd3.3 and box to match. It looks to have a series 3 pickup cab/split screen and a more modern 110 front end, probably to fit the bigger engine.. Thanks for the part number, I don't suppose you have part numbers for the bushing and the rest of the assembly? Or is there a kit that would have the lot?

How old is the conversion? You might fall foul of the DVLA at some point if this is registered as a series 3 with a 110 chassis.

It's 1984 on the book.. It's and Irish car and I don't know what the dvla is.

It says "make: unspecified" on the logbook
