Hi folks.
Does any one know the actual size of these brackets, And where they fit at the front?
They are rather expensive for a simple bracket and I like bending metal and drilling holes , so I was going to make some.
Thickness/hole size/dimensions etc. Photo attached , the bracket is at the bottom of the pic and I know everyone likes pics.
Basic bog standard seaat no frills attached.

Thanks for the reply,
There must have been so many alterations in the past I dont know what held the seat in place.

From memory, they are about 20x20x20 (millimeters) with a 1/4" hole in the middle of the one side which locates on the front seat rail bolt.
Maybe a bit smaller, my memory fails me.
My 88 should have six of them fitted, but they all seem to have disappeared over the years.

Hi again,
I had a rummage through a box of old rusty grubby nuts and bolts etc. And found these, only two but......see attached photo. This was a discontinued project of one of my sons many years ago and this is what came with a pile of bits.

Looks very much like them.
Note how the corners of the bit that sticks up are rounded off, to stop them from ripping your clothes or the seat squab covers.
Now all you need to do is to make some more of them.
There are none fitted to my 1970 88, and I don't have a problem with the seat squabs moving

Well I'll have to see when the time comes for fitting.
Thanks for the input.
