What do you mean it won't go in. Is. It engaging and then jumping out. Will the selector not move. Need a bit more detail.

does the red lever pull back into low and forward into hi properly ,does yellow knob push down ,theres a tin cover held on with 3 bolts which can be removed and ends of the two shafts lubricated and freed if stuck these shafts have so slide easily for selection to take place

hi it is the original gear box with over drive, low range and overdrive works perfectly when u push the yellow knob down it just isnt engaging?

either i would think shafts arent sliding in output housing behind tin cover (which should be noticeable in that if yellow knob pushed down pulling red lever back and then forward should let yellow knob pop back up)or i would check to see if you have free wheeling hubs not locked for drive or a broken shaft or diff in axle ,you can check by jacking one wheel at a time and turning prop should turn in 2wd and lock in 4wd ,if prop doesnt turn or lock theres no drive between that wheel and transmission

Confused

Can you pull the transfer box (red) lever towards the seatbox to engage low range.

Once in low range, is 4 WD engaged.

Is it just the low range lever that isn't doing much??

Are you sure it's not stuck in 4WD anyway in high range - mine was as the yellow lever wasn't held up by a spring when I first got it.
