Series 3 109 FFR 63-KB-51

A good mate of mine bought 63-KB-51 around 2009 ...
ran it around for a year or so and then after a bit of a coming together with a tree during some snow laning it was parked up and left to "Mature"

I sort of felt sorry for it standing out in the open in the worst of the Derbyshire peaks weather ...BUT was busy with other stuff ($ other series landrovers in the fleet )

Then in 2014 I bought it for a bargain price as a none runner ...5 years parked outside hadn't been terrible kind to be honest











Shifted it into the garage late 2014 and accidently bought a S2a 109 Station wagon and took it around the Wast coast of Scotland and Western isles with some friends in leafers and generally got distracted by life ....

However I thought it was time to start doing some work on it a short while back ....AND with some help from a great bunch of friends (And the Mrs)

Brake lines were all shot so have been replaced along with the wheel cylinders

A brace of Lucas 069's were fitted and she started second turn of the key

New exhaust is arriving shortly along with new bump stops

wing is still off for access but a replacement came with her so no worries there ....
A fair amount of patching of the chassis extremities was needed BUT the main bits are solid ....looking forward to finishing the bits and bats off and sticking it in for an mot .








Still need to look into the history BUT can't wait to be back behind the wheel of something Walty lol[/quote]

In fairness it does sometimes get sunny .....out and about with my other FFR a couple of years back ....

That's more like the Lancashire I remember in my childhood! Much better.

And, also technically, I was mainly around Gt Hucklow which is also Derbyshire.

Enough of the pleasantries, you've still got a Landy that I wanted.

Just in the process of sticking a 300 Tdi in it ready for Scotland in September

Bit more progress today thanks to Tracey Mr + Mrs Gadget and Vinny ....Exhaust fitted,chassis scraped,Wing back on and electrics reconnected ....AND Wolf rims and Bar slips fitted ....

















Still some stuff to sort ....Screen wash pump/paint rims/adjust and bleed the brakes and finish waxoyling etc BUT getting there

MOTd and taxed today .....and Had a early finish today for a rare change SO blagged a lift up to "Duffholes" and drove home via the pressure wash at the local garage to remove 7 years of dust from the inside ...helped obviously by the removal of the roof ;-)
