You can buy a conversion kit if you have money lying around that you don't know what to do with.

Everyone jokes about Series brakes but when serviced and set up properly are more than capable....you just have to use a lot more effort than you would on a more modern vehicle. Fitting a servo (if you've not got one) makes some difference
 
I going to put 300tdi disco eng in it do u think 2a brakes would they bee good wee that eng fitted lol :)

Provisionally the answer is still yes. I have a 200 in mine and have no problems, but then it was a 6cyl and has 11'' x 3'' drums on the front. I have no idea what 2a you have but I'll guess an 88. Well adjusted brakes will cope but you can beef them up by fitting 109 11'' drums and/or a servo to reduce the amount of effort.......or pay for a disc conversion kit.

Be aware that substantial brake modification may count against historic status
