Definately restore it.

Prices range from around £500 for a rotten chassis/pile of bits to £10k plus for full nut and bolt restoration with new proper galvanised chassis/perfect bodywork.

Good runners with MOT/tax (exempt!) around 2-3K,
around 4k if without any body damage.

Chassis from Richard's (prefered) or Marslands.

Seriously get yourself on the series 2 forum, there's discounts to be had on parts for a low membership price.

richards will do you a detail accurate chassis, marslands only do generics if they do them at all now

as said get yourself on the Series2 forum, become a club member and there are financial benefits on a lot of stuff (genuine benefits rather than implied)

that landrover on a boingy chassis is almost worthless in comparison to a half decent restoration

i've not had my '65 109 valued, it hasn't got a galvy chassis (i rebuilt it very carefully), it's not rivet counter accurate but i valued it at 4k for the insurance (it is very good looking) and the other week i got offered 5k, i was very tempted but i've barely driven it

be prepared for a bit of a hunt for a few odd bits but from what i can see you've got the majority of it, needs wings and a radiator panel with lights, you've got the correct sloping panel behind the bumper, not too much effort and you could have a very nice early Series 2, my 109 took 9 months to build, i spent the year before that gathering parts so that i didn't have a motor i couldn't build for struggling to find a missing bit

just in case you haven't seen it before, this was it's very first run to the mot station
