Sender identification

ok guys, 3.5 v8 has 2 sender units on the engine, the water temp sender sticks out of the front of the block.
there's a 2nd one on the top, is it an oil temp/pressure sender or something else.
any help appreciated guys

carb or efi ,carb one on top is cold start switch with 3 x bolt holding it in

Coolent temp sensor for the engine management ecu, black top maybe iirc.

yeah that sounds about right, so whats the deal with this cos mine is not connected.
