has anyone wired up one of these(ryder self switching charge relays)
does the wire from the cranking battery go to the relay then from switched output to the leisure battery(TF1170 - Towbar Relays, Monitors, Wiring Diagrams, Technical Details

looks complicated and expensive to me.

supposed to be very easy and it was quite cheap about 12 quid the instructions on there web page are as clear as mud to me i will phone them in the morning to get them to explain

From looking at the schematic, and the blurb that comes with it, looks like a sleadgehammer to crack a walnut.

In a vehicle , all you need is a ign operated relay to allow charging of the second battery, and if you need to join them for wiching or self jump starting a h duty battery isolator switch eg Hella

Ive always done it in that manner on my overland vehicles its simple , cheap , and works JMHO
