I have been told by removing the self levellng relay I can cut it out of the system, my d2 is already on coils but whoever did the replacement didn' remove the sensors or compressor, so every now and then the compressor kicks in giving the sound of a badly punctured tyre, and very rarely it will actually pulse like it is actually doing something, this was mot a problem until today when we removed one of the sensors to weld behind on the chasss, I didn' put the mounting back on so the sensor was unplugged and put in the tool box, now I guessed by doing this the lift warning light would come on which it has, so my question is, is there a separate relay I can unplug?
I have be3n told a nonocom or similar can be used to turn the air system off but my mate didn' have time to do it, he had already let me use his garage and ramp and tools for two days for free so I really didn' want to push it, they usually charge 30 quid to do codes clearing and they had already done it the other day when the hub was changed to clear the 3 amigos.
I want to keep the compressor on the vehicle and adapt to use to pump up tyres etc as it will be really handy but need to get this warning light off other than just removing the bulb.
