Hi, just joined, been reading the forums a while though.

One of the questions I have is whether the assembled expertise reckons it's gonna be easier to find a new, excellent condition lower tailgate (1992 classic, tailgate with interior handle), or patch up the one currently on the beast. It's not in a good way - you can hear the rust falling about inside it every time you open or close it. I cringe every time I do it. There are big flakes around the edges and corners.

I am willing to pay a fair bit for a good condition one, or to get it fixed, but I am no expert fixer or welder.

Any advice appreciated!

Thanks
Ron
