Fancy explaining just how easy it is ?
Cut the little wire that goes to the stop solenoid on the back of the injection pump run one side of the cut wire to a switch and from the other side of the switch back to the solenoid.
You would be better fitting some sort of fuel cut off switch so would start and die after 20 seconds or so if tampered with, and of course the thief is not going to mess around on the side of the road with a dead stolen car.

Want to bet? Only person who knows its stolen is him until you wake up and realise your motor is missing. How many times have you driven by somebody with the bonnet up? Ever stopped and asked them if they've stolen the motor? Chances are you're more likely to stop and help them get it going.

Cant remember last time i saw a car with the bonnet up they seem to die good and proper now and are only worth a rescue phone call, imagine nicking a car and it stops 200 yards away from the owners house, do you do you walk away scott free or **** around to get it started?
Especially when its a land rover and theres few around where i live and its a 200tdi so hardly a stealth motor:D

In the words of Tesco 'every little bit (of security!) helps', but I really wouldn't be relying just on a kill switch.

As has been covered already, get a proper immobiliser fitted (if not already), and go down the disklock/clutch claw route.

There is nothing you can do to guarantee your pride and joy won't be half hinched, but make it as hard as you can for the buggers;)

Even more effective is if you get 6 of those switches and the only way to start is if you get all the switches in the correct position like

up/up/down/up/down/up

if they are not in the right position and the ignition is turned, then the auto eject seat is activated... lol

:D

Like your thinking JP!

Must be possible to wire up a small digit entry pin pad with the right combination - but introducing electronics to a Landy - um........

if it wasn't for the fuel tank under the drivers seat, you could improvise a compressed air driven spike:D

No need for the electronics... you can do it as I said, just by using switches....

the eject seat is optional though..lol
