Seat replacement 1990 rrc

first post so excuse any mishaps

I've recently adopted a classic 1990 3.9 with lpg conversion and as my first step into the world that is the range rover i'm impressed to say the least.

One thing i'd like to do is change the drivers seat for something a little more comfortable preferably leather and which requires a minimum of modification to fit (ability to work on vehicle is limited at the moment)
i'm not particularly bothered about originality and have seen several references to volvo seats being fitted.

So i'm wondering if anyone else has changed out the seat and from what kind of vehicle and what modifications need to be done.

You could always fit a set of leather seats from a RR of that era.Is your seat base cracked ? This can make them uncomfy,but they are very repairable,in good nick they should be some of the most comfy car seats you could wish for - tons better than Disco ones and IMO better than the current RR's.See if you can blag a "sit" in someone elses RR for comparison.
The only uncomfy RR's I have ever sat in are crashed ones,(seat back twisted) or ones with the base frame broken.

I wouldnt' consider leather seats for a classic because ive not seen one rr with leather that is'nt faded, cracked or badly worn, by comparison the cloth seats are like armchairs . Maybe look out for a newer cloth seat to improve your comfort.

I solved the problem with the seat by obtaining a decent full set from a 1990 classic with v low mileage,the difference is amazing! wrong colour but hey the price was right.

Subsequently i have a full set of fawny/brown seats available free for collection from Burton on Trent if anyone is interested.

The drivers seat is quite tatty but the rest are in reasonable condition,theres no nylon bushes or ally stand offs (had to re use) so if you want them pm me and i'll be in touch,i'll leave them available to anyone from here until 20/01/07 then i'll put them on fleabuy.
