Just refurbishing my seats and cleaning/greasing the drive mechanisms. At either end of the drive screws there appears to be what looks like rubber bump washers. These have just gone hard and have disintegrated, couple of questions, do I really need them and are they just there to prevent the metal to metal contact at the end of travel. I was thinking of getting some polyurethane rod and making replacements, I can put a split line in them to be able to push over the screws. However, if they ain’t fully necessary I would probably not bother. I have looked on LRCat but there are no details of the seats for some reason, has anyone got a detail drawing of the mechanism?
