Hi,

I'm trying to get Jo (90) sorted for the winter and one thing on the list of tasks is to find replacement screws for the dash cover, you know all the plastic parts. Does anyone know the size of the screws, I've google it but you seem to be able to get kits for everything but not the dash!

Also, I have a whistle which I think is just wind noise around the front, do the flaps and grills (sorry they must have a proper name) have rubbers around them (gawd Flaps and Rubbers in the same paragraph).

Lastly, how the feck do you stop the water running down from the top of the door onto the floor, it gets damp at the bottom of the door cracks inside.

1/. Get a box of 4mm x 25mm black self tappers
2/. what sort of whistle is it, and does it increase in volume relative to your speed
3/. You don't!! It's a Fender!! :D:D

3. ^^ what he said ^^

I took all the mats and stuff out of mine, it just seemed all they were doing was stopping it drying out.

Rubbish, my 110 has been dry as a bone since I restored her 14yrs ago.
As for the leaks on spacedawgs , take the door card off and get inside with a torch whilst someone else trains a watering can slowly over the suspect area, start low down and work up to the roof gutter.
Two favorites are the gutter rivits and the joint between bulkhead A post and Windscreen frame, just behind the door seal.
If the water is getting in because of rot holes then that's more involved.
Removing the door card will enable you to see if it's getting past the outer glass weather strip and getting into the cab via door drain holes and gives you the opportunity to inspect/repair/replace the plastic sheet which should be there.

Ok;
1 - Thanks I'll get some of them
2 - Yes, its not engine rev related, so I have discounted the engine, its from the front of the car it the last of the annoying noises I have and its high pitched
3 - The other door is not leaking so I'll check is out as Flossie has suggested, at the moment my carpet and mat on that side have been taken out. There is no rot on the car body so I'm going to exclude that one, but I check with the door card out.

Hi Chris, Don't know if this helps. Mine has these rubber seals around the flaps. see pic.

Space Dawg,Your landy may have the later foam seals fitted on the inside of the flaps, not as good as the rubber ones on the bulkhead as they trap moisture and promote rust.
Rubber ones can be fitted to later models.
