I've done a couple like that Now fix the water leak and check all the other connectors before you end up needing a new DSP etc. The LR mod is to fit a plastic bag over the top of the kit. Thanks to datatek had a good check in the Nsr quarter and found pin 1 on the blue plug had corroded away completely so replaced pin terminal and hard wired it direct problem fixed thanks again to all that replied
Water in the kit in the nearside rear of the boot is a common problem causing corrosion in the connectors at the very least.
Datatek sir, you are a legend. Pulled out the blue connector, positive signs of corrosion, quick clean and "hey presto!!!" Thank you
