MAP in located in L/H side as you look at engine in underneath inlet manifold, were not the later ones fit into hoses
I suspect that the sensor on the turbo hose is an air temperature sensor.
FWIW, the MAF on the TD4 is on the end of the air filter.
The MAP is on the L/H side of the inlet manifold. Always has been, and always will be
The sensor in the long pipe was introduced in 03MY (IIRC) and is a temperature sensor
1.8 K-series does not have a MAF, only a MAP. On the early cars, it was internal to the ECU, and from 01MY, it was fitted into the inlet manifold
Hope that clears up any confusion.
Technically neither were fitted as LR called them boost pressure sensors
Just be quiet about that - or else I'll get confused again.
It's a minefield
There's plenty of them in the Balkans!
I'm due to go back there again in a couple of months.
Jesus now thats what I call off roading
Stay safe
