good day everyone;
Again apologies all around for my blatant ignorance when it comes to land rover engines, but i am new to these vehicles, and i need to learn.
I am in the market for another defender as the one i had before, i had to back out on the deal.
I am living in Costa Rica right now, so there are a few defenders on the market, but not a whole lot to choose from.
I've got my eye on this red beauty, she's a 1997 defender 110.
It has a/c, so it doesn't have the typical dash where you can open up the air intake flaps, as these aren't cut out in the bulkhead and are closed from the factory.
My issues right now, are determining which engine is which.
I cannot tell which engine it has, but i'm slowly leaning towards a 300tdi.
being in central america, the possibility of having an international engine from brazil could be a potential, but again, i'm not sure what to be looking for to tell them apart.
Could anyone post pictures of the differences, or let me know how to tell them apart.
Much appreciated.
Cheers
