While waiting for the high pressure gauge, decided to fit a spare HP pump. For info, no need to remove starter or coolant fitting, remove regulator so that you can get to the bottom nut, lift engine a bit with mount off and straightforward job.
Now have a reliable fuel rail pressure of .
27,000 to 40,000 kpa.
It refuses to fire the injectors. Tried a spare injector connected up outside engine with cylinder 1 power lead and no spray at all from injector.
Have checked all connections, substituted cam and crank sensor. No fault codes shown at all now.
Beginning to scratch head. Even if diesel has gone bad it should spray it ??
Open to any ideas. It's an open book as someone has played with it.
Lack of fault codes is confusing.
Good low pressure and high pressure rails.
No fuel to cylinders. Injectors taken from a running vehicle and fitted with new washers and O rings.
What voltage should you see on injector? Rave says 12v on red and ecu switches ground. Is it that simple? Thought they were piezo. If someone has a voltage or waveform that they can share for a working vehicle that would be good.
Thanks.
