sat nav disc missing

Can anyone help ! my rangie came without the sat nav disc ( i did get money off for this ) anyway system in back is a carin II in a p38 2001 vouge 4.6, has anyone got a disc part no for this, would a new unit for the boot and the disc from a 2003 go straight in and work ? where can i get one from ? please help thanks

if it were me i would get one from a dealer,as you don,t really know what you will get from ebay and what true condition it would be in,but if you want you can pm me your reg or chassis and i,ll have a look on microcat and see if the part no.will come up for you.

I am looking at a 3.0 vogue 2003 which also has the disc missing, What would be the best advice on this?. Thanks.

Discs for the Carin system are on Ebay, brand new 2009/10 British isles £55.00. Copies and older versions very cheap. Think later Range Rovers use a DVD so they are different from the earlier Carin.

I always found the Rangie Satnav a pile of poo. TomTom is so much easier to use

i have exactly the same model and year of satnav as you rangie, mine works ok but frankly its a pile of Sh**e. remember what satnavs were like 10 years ago?
Anyway it will be well out of date. I would do as sirius says and spend your dosh on something more modern. If you really do want a disc pm me

Hi there,
May I suggest you look on Ebay for a chap going by the name of "Navtvman" he sells complete systems and when I asked if he could supply me with more up to date maps he was very helpful and I bought 1 UK and 1 Europe disk from him. The disks worked perfectly and they even had post code search which the old 1's didn't have.
