Sand Bags using like Waffle Boards?

May well not be a new idea but I had this idea today.

What about using sandbags in order to get out of ruts? Place a couple in front of the front tyres, should mean you should be able to drive up and over the sandbags and therefore out of the ruts!

Sandbags are nice and cheap, could work. At least until I can afford waffleboards....

Anyone tried it?

I think you would lose grip and rip the bag with anything more aggressive than a road tyre and your expensive sand would just be adding to the original problem of you being stuck. :lol:
