yep...been raining here since Sat evening....

The plains still have plenty of water in the mud holes, what's dry is the tracks... and thats where you are in for a rough ride...

if you imagine all the mud that gets lifted by the tyres and stays on the sides, almost like channels through the tracks, well, now this mud is dry and driving over it is like driving on a suspension testing track...

Thanks for that JP, Hope the next time we come down there could be serious mud.

New around here, but lived on the Plain since ,92. Used to driving around in the green kit, i.e. go anywhere, but now, getting used to the civvy restrictions.

Just fitted a CB to my Landy, so if anyone is around on Sunday (27th) ?

Not really,
if you can sleep on a Chally firing point...

Tends to get a bit annoying when they let the AS90's off over Larkhill way, the house tends to shake a bit, and if the wind's in the right direction, the reverse thrust from Boscombe Down can be heard, likewise, when the bikes are out at Thruxton.

Then there's always the odd Thunderflash going off at zero-dark-thirty as the boys put in a section attack on the hill behind the house, and, of course, the Apaches only fly four nights a week.

All in all, it's a lovely sedate little area.

Honestly though, I wouldn't move if you paid me It's Landy owners heaven:crazy_driver:

Dont blame you for not moving Tank, Cat 95 and myself travel up from Cambridge to the plain, Brilliant day out.

Thanks chaps, but I'll be off the road for about 3-4 months from next wednesday. This is my last weekend of fun. (Medical not legal reasons, I hasten to add ) Guess I'll have a bimble about monitoring channel 35 tomorrow.

Just got home from the plains...

they are fokin spot on!! all the rain we had during the week filled everything up, all the lanes are pure mud..had a wicked day!!

I travel 350 miles to go lanin on the plains.... its no excuse
