anyone wanting to go to the plains in the near future might be dissappointed
theres a hooge exercise going on so weve been informed in the local rag

2500 troops and 300 tracked vehicles

it lasts untill feb 11th

there also on about closing imber village up untill the summer 2011
 
One of the Wessex 4x4 Response guys works as a warden on SP. He recently advised guys to stick to the BOATs if visiting the Plain, but other than that its still open ;)
 
Sorry to interrupt guys and i know im a newbie here but have a little bit of information landy man is correct there is a big excersise going on, which i should be on but because i worked over christmas i am on my hols now. Anyway you can still go on salisbury plain as long as you stick to the byways. You still have a right to go on the plain but it is common courtesy to not disrupt the training, i have been on all this week and have just let any conveys or attacks go through and then moved on. Anyway i am up for going on the plain over the weekend if anyone is interested?
