If you are staying in Upavon, take the A342 towards Devizes, about 2 miles out of Upavon on the A342 you will come to a village named Charlton, on the main road (A342) you'll see a pub on your right, there's a byway to your left that goes up a hill through some trees... go up there and have fun, quite steep heavily ruted, its quite a laugh.

Also, between Everleigh and Tidworth (quite close to Upavon) there's loads of lanes and muddy holes..

also to the north of upavon (look on google maps) there's a little village on a B road named Alton.
go up to there, you'll see the white horse on the hills... as you get to the top of the hill there's a car park, to the left of this there's a farm gate, that's a byway, you can then run along this byway (turn right as you go through the gate) heading north (quite a good byway), but you'll have to open and close about 6 gates as you go through...
