Hi folks,

Probably a common problem but here goes…

What is the safest way to jack a 2003 L332 to change a rear wheel if the ‘normal’ jacking point is unsuitable ?

Is it safe to jack under the lower wishbone ? -or does this risk EAS damage ?

Is there anywhere else I should try ?

-background, had a blow out at 70mph yesterday, jacked the girl up and removed wheel but it soon became clear that the jacking point wasn’t happy and is too heavily corroded to bear the weight of the car.

I need to get my sill welded :( -annoyingly it passed its MOT 3 weeks ago.

Thanks again

Bob

I will say iv jacked under the lower arm when my 3 ton jack wasn’t long enough to go right under, I tend to put the jack in the recess where the air bag bolt goes, it’s never moved and all it’s does it get the suspension to try and self level but that all sorts out when let down again.
