Ok, this might sound like a daft question but one of the last items to fit from my original box of parts is the bottom safari door seal....

Like this but with a rubber seal: LANDROVER-GALVANISED METAL RETAINER-REAR DOOR-BRAND NEW-SERIES 3+DEFENDER 90/110 | eBay

Anyhow.... I cannot work out how it actually fits, there are holes in the floor and on the strip but it doesn't seem to go in like I would expect. Has anyone got a picture showing one it situ :)

Then I can get on with the floor covering.

Yep. Too lazy to clear the junk out of the way but you get the gist.

Spotting the daylight through the gap between the door and the sills got me thinking there may be something missing. They just screw on the sill.

The metal strip runs across the floor at the back and holds the rubber seal against the safari door but on the other side it holds your carpet/sound proofing etc neatly and without an edge that will catch as you put things in/get in etc. I bought one that was galvanised and although not the cheapest option I decided that every time I replace/install anything it's got to be protected.

I'll post some pictures later.
