S & M lights

hello guys and gals
we have just bought our first disco 2. it's a 2000 Td5 ES Auto.
I have noticed that the S & M lights dont come on when the ignition is turned on and also the mode button on the gear shift does nothing also. don't know weather it's related also but when you select reverse the diff lock light lights up

any help would be great

Not a disco owner I'm afraid. Someone? The box must be somewhere accessible.The lights coming on when you use the selector looks like a fuse problem. The box should have spares and a wiring diagram. Change fuse like for like and not a higher rating otherwise you risk damage to electric's.
