fantastic days green laning. Big thanks to 90boy for inviting me along :)

now, regarding that 110 of mine... Lolly (Thats her name) got us through everything that was put in her way and she ATE it up with glee, and thats with kumo A.T. tyres, which although called all terrain, are basically just road tyres. PLUS she was our "winneblagrover" and provided a very warm, dry and comfortable double bed to sleep in :) - sooooooooooo much better than a tent.

basically... SHE ROCKS ;-)

so - as no-one else has - why int a 110 good as a playmobile? is it just the wheelbase? or summat else?

The longer wheel base and lesser breakover angle make em a less capable off road.

Allegedly.:p

The only time I have ever had a problem because of the wheel base is when I went to Foxham 4x4 pay and play site. The rutted turnings were all so tight that I had big problems with constantly having wheels in the air.

The bomb holes were 90 sized too which meant that anything bigger got wedged with it's wheels in the air.

glad you injoyed it mate will have to meet up again some time

Been home an hour now and not surprised to see a thread up already.
Wot a weekend!
Me and the missus would like to say a big thankyou to 90boy for being our guide for the day on Saturday.
A very long, intense and extremely enjoyable time was had.
This was our first time in Wales offroading and rock made a nice change from mud! :)
And yes, I did some water but Corwen Carwash was far too deep for a V8.
Even Simon wimped out and he's more daft than me.
But I did make up for it by climbing that steep bank on top the mountain 90boy ;)
Another big thankyou to Drewster whose idea it was to go on the trip in the first place and for booking the accomodation - nice one mate! :)
We will post piccies soon, but it will take a while to sort out the several hundred taken to a few nice ones.
We got DVs fixed this morning for the trip home - only place we could get a new donut coupling was about 25 miles away on Anglesea, not
even the main stealer had one in stock.
Hopefully it will now hold together for the chip run :D
