I was underneath taking the prop off so I could change the UJ's,
And I grab hold of the Drivers Side Rear Outrigger to pull myself out from underneath and ended up with a face and hand full of rust!
I thought to myself ah its all abit rusty im sure its fine for now.
then I looked closer...
So I ordered up a new one....
and set about removing the old one (what was left)
I undid all of the bolts (having supported the fuel tank)
Without touching anything and only undoing the bolts the outrigger pretty much fell off!!
Eventually managed to get it all ground out and cleaned up.
And set about getting the new one in.
New one bolted in place to make sure it is aligned correctly.
I pre painted the outrigger, leaving the iner most part bare metal so i could weld it.
Welded it all up and bolted the tank back in place.
and then gave everything I good couple of coats of underseal.
Hopefully it will out last the chassis which is in need of some major work or replacing.
