Does anybody know if the rust on the usual spot on the back door of the disco can be fixed. Anyone who has or had a disco will agree that it is a ****ing nuisance and looks shaet, I have had 3 discos and they all go on that same bloody place, it's rite on the bottom of the slim black powder coated steel thingy that the rear window adjoins. I think it's the thick rubber on the ledge of the door it rubs and cuts in to the powder coat over time. I know the top of the door frame can be removed and renewed if possible, but want to go for the cheaper option if you know what i mean. I know this is a ****ty thread but this has been doing my head in and it's getting worse. Thanks people.

am confoosed where exactly are ya on about.

Im just about to do mine, Im just going to make up some nice shaped patches, cut out the bad, weld in the new, undercoat, paint, drill a hole under the door post to spray wax oil up inside and plug. :)

is we talking rear passenger door or rear tailgate?

if we is talking rear passenger door easiest fix is to buy a 3 door model and it seems to cure it straight away.:D :D :D

oddie i like that still chuckling...... was talking about rear passenger door window. In between the two pices of glass.
...so why not say that in the first place....?
I'm more worried about sills and inner wings and wheel arches and so on than cosmetic bits like that
