patched, repaired and painted sills this past couple of days. before i put the plastic sill trim back on has anyone got any recommendations for a good rust treatment I can spray/squirt through the plastic trim clip holes in the sills to protect the inside of the sill before i put the trim back on?
hope that makes sense.

ideally a product that is easy to buy in store as dont really want to wait on delivery

Rejel rust proofing cavity wax or couple cans of good ole waxoyl.

thanks, a mate has lent me his compressor attachment for spraying wax oil so can sort it now

Mix your waxoil 50/50 with white spirits,it will be easier to spray and the spirit will evaporate.This will leave a nice coat of waxoil,in your sills.

Or better still, 50/50 with old engine oil.

like the sound of old engine oil as i have some of that dont have any white spirits

think i will do this on the road though as dont want to mess up my lovely drive

Good plan. With an oil mix it never really "sets" and can drip for a few days.

The problem with using old engine oil is that it contains water and various acids. Not nice to handle or put near steel. I think it would be better to buy some cheap new oil if you want to use engine oil.
